Unfortunately, I recently received an email from a local walker who had witnessed a dog injure or kill a duck on the pond at the bottom of Knowl Hill Common. The dog owner was present and evidently did not have the animal under control. The dog then ran up to another walker with two dogs and again behaved in an aggressive way.
It is a shame that the many lovely and careful dog owners and walkers in the area are let down by this type of incident. Please make sure that your dog is under control and does not bother the local wildlife.
